New RER T/D Recurve
« on: March 08, 2009, 11:13:00 PM »
I'll be sending my payment tomorrow to Kevin & Sue for a new RER standard T/D recurve that they have in stock.  Below are some pics of the 60", 48#@28" bow:

The riser is Cocobolo and Sapele and the limbs are Makore with Sapele veneers.

Joe,

Yes, that's two in a weeks time.  However, I've been fortunate to sell three bows in the same weeks timeframe so I can buy these two!   :)

Is this what you told your wife?  I once had more guns than she knew about for just this reason, she could never keep track of them all…oh ya I sold blah blah blah   :banghead:  but I love her so what's a man to do.

Nice looking bow!

Josh,

No, I actually sold an older RER T/D recurve and a Dale Stahl T/D recurve so I could by the Arroyo.  Then I sold a Dale Dye T/D recurve so I could buy the RER T/D recurve.

Cant go wrong with RER bows.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

I've been reading comments by Frank, Shawn and others over the years about Kevin's and Sue's RER bows.  I finally made a trade with vm13 for an older T/D recurve.  I shot it one day and I was impressed enough by that bow to sell it and my Dale Stahl T/D recurve so I could buy the Arroyo.  I swore I would never sell the Stahl.  Then after the Arroyo was shipped I decided I wanted a RER T/D recurve.  Initially I was looking at the XR recurves.  I like the looks of the risers, but they didn't have an In Stock bow that suited my needs.  Then I saw the standard RER and it was nearly perfect.  The only thing that could make it more perfect, in my eyes, is to replace the Sapele with Bocote.  But, I prefer to have the 60" and 48#@28" over the wood combination!  Besides, from what I can see in the pics the Sapele should make for a pretty good match with the Mahogany in the riser of my Arroyo.
