Glove/Tab maintenance/preservation

Hi guys,
I've had quite a lot of success over years using Neatsfoot Compound (Here is a ling to a wiki write up on the real-deal, neatsfoot oil,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neatsfoot_oil
) to maintain leather goods, and so far it seems to hold true with regards to my shooting glove.
I'm hoping to have you long-time shooters chime in who've kept the same glove in action for several years with no cracks or need to replace equipment. What's your secret?
Juan

Cleaning with a good saddle soap is all I do anymore... and not too often for that.

I don't do much for my tabs, natural skin oils tends to take care of them. My gloves need a little Snowproof...maybe once a year and lightly then.
