Who is shooting grizzly stik banshees

I got some of the mis-marked grizzly stiks of of e*** marked "600" and supposedly .500 deflection. They seem to flex like that in my hands but shoot way stiff. Anyone else shooting these and out of what setup. I am shooting a Treadway Black Swamp 47#@28. What is the combo that works well for you.

I got some woodies from same place, marked 500 supposed to be 400, and they are too stiff for my 60# T-Hawk. I should have ordered the ones you did.

You aren't the first I've heard that from. I just got some from Danny Rowan that are marked 500 but are supposed to be 400. I have yet to shoot them but we'll see.

I think I seen these arrows for sale too(e-bay). Has anyone checked them out and see if they are really straight? I heard ABS just started getting their arrows manufactured in China and they had some quality control issues at first and couldn't use the first batch they got. My question is are these "just mis marked or is there any other issues with these arrows? thanks

I have some of the Banshee 500 and plan to shoot 'em outa my Widows, from 63# to 75# so these shafts should fit in there somewhere.
From what I've been told these shafts are missmarked is all.
I've not shot the yet but will do when home soon.

Full length, inserts that came with shafts, and 175gr. on the tip, and the woodie was at about 700gr. They shot stiff and were a little heavy for my likings. I decided not to throw good money at bad, and move on. Nice shafts, but too heavy for me. Woodies anyone?

I'm pretty new to archery, but it would seem that .500 would be no where too stiff for a 60#bow. Am I missing something. I guess it would make a difference how much you cut the arrow down. But B-Fuller85 is shooting them full length w/175gr up front, and they are still to stiff. I was thinking 500's would be alright for my 50# @ 28 with a 150gr.. .500 should be .500 no matter what brand they are I would think.- thanks- Steve

I just shot some marked 500s actual 400s cut to 29.75" on my 58@29 Titan with HexV-H limbs. With 100 grain inserts and 250 grain tips they were too stiff. Out of the same bow 400 Axis 30" with 100 grain inserts and 200 grain tips were perfect and AD Trads with 100 grain inserts cut to 29.5" were dead on also. Not scientific by any means but the Banshees were 6-8" left at the same 15 yards.

vemonster, that doesn't make sense. Are they really .400's. Has anyone put these on a spine tester? I'm just a little confused as to why these would be flying stiffer if the are 400's. thanks

I don't have a spine tester but I think perhaps some are mismarked more than others. Funny thing is I have been having a conversation with the fellows selling the mismarks and they said their experience has been they have been shooting weaker than what they should be for the spines they supposedly are.

That's a little worrisome. Makes you wonder if you bought these if each arrow might not be spine matched close the another arrow. It sounds like they were grouping similiar(though stiff)out of your set-up.

I looked at some of these cut shafts. One side looked thicker than the other. It might make a big difference which way they are turned.
IMHO I wouldn't use them. There are more consistent arrows available.

The bow I got them to shoot where they should was my 60@30 Swan hybrid. I wasn't impressed with the flight of them though.

I got the 500 Woodies to shoot from my 54# Fox Breed. They are showing too weak even after cutting them down two inches with 100 grain heads.
I ordered some 400s and have not got to try them yet. It is my fist foray into carbons and I am not impressed,

One thing everyone has to remember is that these shafts were discontinued and sold to a few dealers that wanted the mismarked shafts. The shafts may have had one or more problems. I had about 3-4 dozen of spine which were the first shafts that came out. The shafts I had were not mismarked. I double checked the spine even after talking with ABS assuring me the shafts I had were correctly marked. These where some great shafts, that's if you like a heavy carbon. I shot the 500's from my 50 lb RER and 53 lb Thunder Stik III. They flew great and were very hard hitting.
