Just got off the phone with Bob. He is shooting the last coat of sealer on the riser today and the limbs are already in work. He said there are a few sets of the carbon backed, foam core limbs in work. not sure if they are all spoken for. Hope my weight comes out the first time on my limbs! I'm gettin' antsy!!

Here is a preview of what my riser will look like. Just like this, but a SHAWNEE, not an ILF like this one. And mine will not have the finger grooves either. Should look sweet with the carbon backed limbs!

TJ- yeah I think so! I've never seen that wood before until I started looking on Bob's site. A little more $$$ but when he said he had enough to do one more riser and would not be able to get any more I had to pull the trigger on it!

Vermonster - I had no idea you owned Dan Smith's nasty osage bow before I did.  I absolutely love that riser and it isn't going anywhere...ever.
Elkhereder - The flared risers are beautiful, but don't discount the natural beauty of a solid osage riser.
Yeah...I know...I just made your decision that much harder.  Sorry!

I have 3 shawnee bows,and i wish i could send pics.

I have a curly koa riser with the same wood flare and a kudu horn inlay on the front of the riser, with a full pinecone.

The second one is a beautiful cocobolo outside, and gaboon ebony flare riser, with a full pinecone. Also has thin maple stripes running through the riser. This riser is absolutly  beautiful.

The third is a heritage walnut with a full pinecone.

And Bob is making me another one as we speak, the riser will be cocobolo and gaboon ebony too,w/full pinecone.
These are (IMO)on of the nicest wood combo's I have seen.

Thanks for letting me share, sure wish I could learn to download pics.

BTW these are some very nice bows!

Thanks,Ken

OK, since I can't shoot right now, I'll play. Here's my newest one. Gaboon ebony and bacote riser which I just sent off to have it custom checkered, foam core Arapaho limbs with eastern diamondback skins and Kudu horn tips. FAST!!.

Beautiful Bob. Morrison has the darkest Bocote I've ever seen from any bowyer. Mine is the same way.

I'll second what Elkherder said. I also like that honey colored osage in a riser.
