Wow -

Ron over at KME was put to the task of making a few 155gr Tusker Concords with a single right bevel - and did he ever succeed.

These things are absolutely wicked.

The weight and substance in these heads are incredible - coupled with the single bevel and tanto tip I was downright afraid to peel off the wax/plastic coat that Ron put over the edges.  On the phone I made the joke that he'd better put a bandaid in the package just in case.

Wish he would have.    :knothead:    A little superglue and I was right as rain.    :D

These heads are all business - I can't wait to get them bloody.  I question whether or not you can buy confidence, but this was money well spent.

Ron said he snapped some pictures of them because he was so impressed how they turned out - I sure wish he could post them.

These things are just mean.  Tusker and KME get         from me.

Man those look awesome! How much do they weight after sharpening? Might have to try some of those myself!

I net the KME boys at the K-zoo expo in Michigan.  If I wouldn't have been on a budget I would've had one.  I have seen and used a lot of sharpening systems, but this is the real deal.  I plan to order mine soon.  Scary sharp is an understatement for what these will do to a broadhead.  I was looking at a Grizzly that they sharpened, and it split a few of my eyelashes down the middle just from staring.  The diamond system will be my very next purchase.  JD

Ron's sharpened heads are absolutely wicked!

Thanks guys. Been meaning to get some pics up for a while now.

Ken,
Chris wanted a finished weight of 225 gr. including 16 gr. for the insert. Slowbow was kind enough to ship some 75 gr. adapters directly to me to save Chris time and shipping charges. (Thanks Tim)
The heads above are Concord 160s beveled at 25 degrees with sharpened tanto tips. Finished weights including the adapters and inserts are: 227, 227, 228, 228, 228, 229.

We also have Tusker Deltas and Javalins in either LH or RH single bevel and Grizzlies too. (out of 190 Grizzlies at the moment).

JD,
Thanks for the kind words. K-zoo was a blast!!! Just to be clear, these heads were not sharpened on our knife sharpener or our broadhead sharpener. We have been building a wet grinding/sanding machine for close to a year now and are finally getting it down. Either sharpener will work to touch them up though. If you do want a sharpener, don't order through the website... call me. I can probably save you a few bucks with a phone order. Plus, everyone knows I love to talk huntin and sharpenin!

I'll get some pics of some other "pre-sharpened" heads posted as soon as I can. Today, I'm spending the day with my youngest son Ethan. (He's 8) We're gonna call some Turkeys, Shoot our bows, and maybe even do a little Crappie fishin!

Hope you guys have as good a day as I'm about to have!!!

AWESOME!!! I contacted Ron about a month ago requesting the exact heads he made here. He told me to give him a while then contact him again when I was ready for them....I"M READY!!!! I'll be calling again soon. Great job Ron!

Ron's heads will make you aware of what sharp really is.  He's practically giving the service away for what he's charging and it can save you a bunch of grief if you have difficulty setting bevels or sharpening to a razor edge. Once Ron has them sharp, they're a piece of cake to maintain.  You won't be disappointed with any of Ron's products.

Those Tusker broadheads are fantastic.  Ron sent me some blanks to mess around with and I could not be more impressed.  The blade is one solid piece of metal, great thickness, not quite as hard as a Grizzly, and they take and hold a wicked edge.  I'm really impressed with both the Delta and Concord when made into a single bevel.  Can't wait to give them a try on some piggies, especially that Delta.  Nice!

I've dealt with Ron a few occasions. He is a great guy to deal with.
