A friend forward me some pictures called Hunters of the past. It not archery but they are pretty old, If some one would want to put them on this site I would forward them to them as I can't post yet, I know I just have to learn soon.

Thinking about this thread, I found a pic of me and a bow shot coyote taken while elk hunting in the Washakie Wilderness of Wyoming. About 1984.

I have really enjoyed this subject and the pics are just great.I remember my first trip to the GLLI.in 1988.A friend and myself flew to Mich.from Tx and could not believe our eyes,so many longbows.I remember seeing Ron LaClair and Jay Massie amung others that we had seen in archery mags.We intrduced our selves to both of these men, no way could you slap the grin off our faces. We talked with Jay Massie for a while and when we started to walk away he gave us his phone#,said give him a call if we where heading his way.I remember as we were walking off my buddy looked at me and said I can't believe you had to talk me into coming here this is just great. We attended the GLLI in 88 through 91 I was 24 years old on our first trip.

I also remember a time in the early 80's I was the Pres.of a local archery club I was maybe 19 or 20.We where having our monthly club shoot when a guy shows up with a longbow. There wher only 3-4 of us that shot trad.bows so naturaly he falls right in with my group. After shooting a few targets we started talking about broadheads.I said I was going to order some of those new Timber Wolf heads, the new guy looked at me and said great I make them and I have about 6 doz in the car.The new guy was Glenn Parker from Houston,We started a friendship making all the shoots that we could. The man had the largest broadhead collection I have ever seen.Very sad he left us so early, super nice guy.Ron I believe you also shot Glenns Timber Wolf heads,I wish I had bought more.
