I've been looking and reading this thread over the past 3 days at work.

As I was getting to pages 35-40 I kept looking at that #51. Like a really good book, I was saddened that I was coming to the end.

I just wanted it to go on and on. "All good things...."

Thank you all for the amazing journey.
Scott

Sorry but decided to edit this post as I was drifting off topic.

Here's some trophy's that aren't for the grill. I recently decided to dig  these out of the box's they were stored in and display them in the shop. They're mostly from the 1960's through the early 70's when I was shooting NFAA competition.
 There's around 100 of them.

Well I'm at page 49 and glad I finally took the time too enjoy. I, like most have fond memories of my early trad days (mid 70's) but no pics.I had the privilege of meeting 2 old timers that talked of days spent with legends. These fellas have probably never been on a computer but my wheels went to spinning and I just made a phone call in an attempt to locate them with hopes of finding pics with stories. I met these guys through a friend of mine at some local shoots in the past and loved listening to them talk of old times with a few of archery's greats. Hope I can make it work. Truly a great thread   :clapper:

I just read this entire thread, start to finish - again. It has really been a lot of fun. Reading this thread, and thinking back to times long ago  minds me of the guy who got me started in archery in 1959 or thereabouts when I was 10 years old. He was Sgt. Mel Morrow, USAF, an avid bowhunter and a good teacher. He started me down a road I hope never to leave. I wonder how many people were similarly affected by you guys, whose exploits have been detailed here. I have really enjoyed this thread a lot. Thank you guys!

Now that I'm over 80 winters I have lots of help with tracking and dragging.

Wow I'm good looking(third from left). Don't know how I got mixed up with all these post office wall poster models.     :D

Of course, I'd trail a deer through anything for anyone of these guys.  They're top notch fellas. One of my favorite dragging comments ever at camp one night on a drag through nasty tall grass/blow downs with me in the front hooked to the neck of a big doe "hold up Ray you're dragging Kevin too!" Those darn tenderfoot's gotta learn how to stay upright in the swamp!
