What finish on antler tip limb bolts
« on: March 23, 2009, 05:12:00 PM »
We have had a pretty successful season so far on shed hunting and I am looking at trying to make a pair of deer antler limb bolts. The question I have is what kind of finish to apply on them. I could not find any info in the how to section. Thanks in advance for any response.

I make antler pens, and they don't need a finish.  just polish them and they are good to go.

I have made several bows with antler limb tips and always finish with thunderbird.  Never had a problem.
