Well I have had a chance to shoot her a bunch of times and am having a blast. She is very sweet to shoot and I wish I was a better shot to take full advantage of her. I live and work at a YMCA Summer Camp in the Adirondacks with 1500 acres of our own to play in,not too shabby.
Also found time to take my daughter out snark hunting in the horse pasture infront of our house. She is shooting the Maddog pup she won in one of Vermonster13's give aways.
Plenty of targets in a horse pasture.
Only season going at the moment in my neck of the woods is squirrel and I am determined to get a tree rat before my time is up. Have taken a few shots but no luck yet. Will post more updates as things develop.

Today while I was stalking one of those pesky little tree rats I was able to stalk up to a nice doe at about 5 yards. It was very cool and probably as close as I will get, knowing my luck. She will turn back into a super wary, ghost of the woods in 2 weeks when season opens
. I had just lost an arrow shooting at a squirrel and came across her while I was searching for it. Any chance to be this close and to practice my stalking, is worth an arrow. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me otherwise I would of had great photo's of her.
All of you who are waiting on this bow I can tell you that you wont be disappointed. I think I will be sad when I go back to shooting my Bear Grizzly.

Well I had another lovely morning walking in the woods, scouting deer, looking for squirrels and shooting this lovely bow. The woods behind my home are just beautiful with a mix of hardwoods, pine, balsam and hemlock. It was logged a few years ago and the clearings have these wonderful fern meadows filling them up. The sun streaming through the trees and the dampness from the rain we had last night made for a tremendous setting.
First group of the day at about 20 yards. Not the best and I am hoping to improve and probably will the day before I send her on her way.
A couple of hundred yards down the trail I jumped a couple of does and one of their last year fawns, out of their beds. They didn't spook and only moved off a short way without really knowing what had moved them. I was able to stalk up to within 15 yards before they noticed me. Even then with the wind in my favor and not making any moves, they still didn't blow out of there. I had 3 does within shooting range all presenting me with multiple shots at the same time, and the season still 2 weeks away. Please let them be feeling the same way once the season opens.
Had a few encounters with some of our local tree rats but still have not closed the deal with one of them. They are red squirrels and a lot smaller than greys which adds to the challenge. I did shoot three arrows at one and got all the arrows back, which is a miracle in and of its self, considering how thick the underbrush is. Will post more when I can get backout there.

I'll be packing her up and sending her on her way to the next lucky recipient, dave lefevre (harmless), tomorrow or saturday.
I sure will miss this bow. Mkaes me seriously reconsider only having one recurve. I will get out in the woods later today and have another crack at the tree rats and post some pics if I have any luck.

Well she is packed and will be in the mail Monday morning. Work didn't let me get out the last couple of days or to get it in the mail on saturday. She was fantastic to shoot and will miss her. Got lots of oportunities to shoot at deer, just wasn't the right week. Seemed fairly forgiving to a variety of arrows. Good luck to all who shoot her in the future.
