I shoot split hex shafts & really like them, they will take a head on hit on a solid stump & not break. I've tride aluminum & carbon, I get bent aluminums with the insert shoved back into the shaft & broken carbons with the insert shoved back into the shaft making it look like a banana. I'm sticking to woodies. Frank

When I was shooting Barrel tapered ash, I never broke one of the stumpin. Since my supplier went out of business, I shoot swagged aluminum. Every now and then a missed shot slams into a rock and ocassionally, the swag will bend. I just cut off the swag, install an insert and XL Broadhead adapter and keep shooting.

I made a mistake today and shot two arrows at the same clump of weeds. The second robin hooded the first and split it in two
Thats the first time I've done that with trad gear!
