My daughter's first hunt
«

My daughter Molly is 3 y/o, and this morning was her first turkey hunt. Like my father passed to me, we have begun all the life-lessons that becoming a bowhunter brings to each of us.
Dad and Molly getting ready. (That's one of Papi's monsters in the background-- trad-only).

Molly's interview:
We had a group of jakes come into the decoys around 7:15. They were 15 yds out! Our prayers were answered that birds would come in close for Molly to see. My arrow was a couple inches from having trophy photos to go with this thread. The arrow when thru the right hip but wasn't enough to bring him down. :( Molly is excited for our next trip!
You can see the jakes in the background of the photo.

Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

I've always been a big proponent of letting them tag along from an early age.

Awesome! I can't believe you got the whole family in there and could shoot. I can't even shoot my longbow out of my cheap blind with just me in there.
