Last year my youngest son managed a perfect shot on a young Michigan buck. At the tender age of ten, Nick was a successful bowhunter.
He used an unsighted Darton compound.
This year, he wants everyone on Tradgang to know, that he hopes to be able to post a photo of his hunt(s) successful or not, as a TRADITIONAL bowhunter. Around our house, the compound bows have always been there as a choice, but they have always gathered dust.
His draw length has increased, and he just recently recieved his new Deermaster recurve.
I know the arrow he is using, tipped with a two edge head will be enough for our local whitetails, and with lots of time to prepare, he will be hunt ready when the nights begin to cool, and the deer change from summer red to fall grey.
Take your kids hunting so you don`t have to hunt for your kids. :D
My wife is gonna try some pics!
