Visible Carbon Shafts
« on: April 05, 2009, 11:31:00 PM »
My experience with carbon shaft visibilty has  been limited to wood color dipped arrows.

Are there any other carbon shaft colors that may be equal to or improve arrow alignment in low light conditions?

There is always the Nuge arrows (Ted Nugent Gold tip). I don't know if you use the whole arrow or just the tip.  I could just paint the last inch or two if it was me I think, I never tried to shoot late enough that it was a problem.

Paint them with primer paint like Roger Rothaar.

Since utilizing a high anchor and split vision, I was attempting leverage other's experience with respect to shaft colors for hunting. Wood grain has been sufficient, however when shooting a camo shaft recently it was harder to see the  picture window or shade close.

You can always get wraps for the front 3" or so. Being a chepskate I just run my arrows through a piece of cardboard 3 or 4 inches and hit them with white spray paint.
