Need help with arrow selection...

Hey guys, I know you get tired of answering this question over and over but I just need to nail down some specifics. I'm getting ready to order my first "real set" of woodies and don't want to screw it up!
I am currently shooting a Bear Montana longbow (45# @ 28")non-FF string. I'm working on keeping my draw to 28". So, I guess my question is should I buy arrows spined 40-45 with 125 gr. tips or go with a heavier spine and tweak it with tip weight? Or something totally different? Also, what length?
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

The great bow twanged. The black arrow sped straight from the string, straight for the hollow
by the left breast where the foreleg was flung wide. In it smote and vanished, barb, shaft,
and feather, so fierce was its flight.~J.R.R. Tolkien-The Hobbit

If you want to go with aluminum, try 1916's. I would go with a full length shaft and cut down until I was where I wanted to be. However, since you want to stay at 28 inches, you can adjust point weight. 1916's or 1816's will be pretty close.
With wood, I would get the correct spine range and do the same.

I would talk with the shaft suppler. I went with HEX shifts from Canada I shoot a SS from 3 Rivers 63#@29" I went with 60-65 witch was not stiff enough i should have went with 65-70 the Hex shaft is very strong I missed the target and bounced the arrow off a sugar maple with out it breaking.
I hope this helps.

I just received a dozen sitka spruce shafts for my 45# @ 28" bows. I bought 50-55 spined shafts. I'm going to be shooting 175 grains on the front end.
