Herbs Archery feather cutter
« on: April 09, 2009, 12:22:00 PM »
As a great many of you know i was selling the Vario Clipper a Feather cutter from Germany .sad to say i can no longer contact the maker and with a lot of orders backed up so i am going to make my own Feather cutter designed on the one i was importing from Germany .
i made the first blade insert (5" parabolic ) yesterday and and cuts a feather as good as the Vario , have a custom order to fill for 200 on the weekend .hopefully i will have them on market in less than 2 months , will only sell them if they are cutting as good as the Vario . might not look as fancy as i have to learn about painting steel for the hinges ect and colors will be Hunter Green and Yellow ( my feather colors ) .
once i get this going i will be able to fill all the back orders in a few days after start up , so if you can hang in there with me , we will get it done ----any questions or suggestions just yell ---- herb

Dennis at Get er done archery has 4 or 5 bases left and we were the only ones in North America that carried them and when his are gone he won't carry them any more --- herb

i was the first to introduce them to North America and was Eugen's major dealer but with no contact since mid Jan i have to do something on my own

Herb- I bought my vario from you. So do I understand correctly that your new inserts should work with my existing base?

Mike i have about 90 inserts from Vario here  Lots of Hunters will look in AM for Trad para .can't get any more as the maker has disappeared .
JC maybe some day ,Mom's health has improved mine went down hill badly in last year . been off work since last Aug ,now have arthritis in hands so bad i can't shoot with fingers so in the spring ( when snow goes about a month from now )will try using a release to shoot with , may improve my shooting LOL --- herb

Bless your heart, Herb! Sorry to hear of the health decline. Always something.

I wish you the best. I know if you put your mind to it the following is assured: A) they will be done well & work great! and B) You will be supported by us.
