Bowfishing storey with pics enjoy
« on: April 10, 2009, 01:19:00 AM »
Hello Guys, Here last week I was over to my uncle's house and I got looking around in one of the many barns that he has well I walked in one got looking around and seen something that looked like a bow so I walked over and there it was a 1960s Bear grizzly 40@28 well it had a old bear tap on fish reel and an arrow so I picked it up and walked out to ask my uncle about the bow.. He said when he was my age he did a lot of bow fishing with it and said u know what I know that there not the going thing any more so just take it and have fun with it I don't want that old thing any more    :scared:      :scared:    well u guys know what I mean.. Well the old girl has been in that barn since the late 70s so she need a lot of TLC well that what my plans are next week.. Well any ways here in MI we had a nice day and the rain and snow flooded most of the lakes so I was thinkin today would be a great bowfishing day about 60 out so I went out and made a day of but there where no fish shot today I never came close to any I am thinkin of  going out 2morrow I will be back out ther in the backwater to see what I can see..

Sorry for the long storey guys..

Take care,

Cody

Cody, cool bow. We have to wait till May 1st up here in our part of Michigan to shoot fish. I finally got ahold of Belcher and he is putting Carp Vader together for me with the skulls dipped riser. Can't wait to shoot her too!

Cool, Cody.  My son and I really have a blast shooting fish with our old Bears.  I have shot many a fish using a tape-on reel.  Go get 'em!

Bear bow, fish arrow and some rough fish- sounds like a recipe for a fun day to me.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

Nice find, make sure that you use a safety slide on your arrow.
