In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln.

Shoot I thought I had one but no match...It will look good for-ya though.  cant go wrong  with that combo.  Remember the Osage will darken...getting better and better over the years.

Mike @ maddog is building my son a midsize longbow in Osage/coco. I can't wait to see what that one is gonna look like as well.

Here's one I made for stickshooter a few years ago. I inmagine it's a bit darker by now.

Great comob. I have a Dwyer original that is Cocobolo and yellowheart. Looks the same but doesn't darken as much. Whip, GREAT shot.   BILL

Sorry didn't have one of just the bow, but you can see it nicely in this pic. Osage will darken and the contrast will not be as evident after a few years. This pic is 4 yrs old and now the Osage is almost as dark as the cocobola. Not as striking, wish there was a way to keep it light colored.

It is a stunning combo. But if you plan to keep the bow for life the percentage of time that you actually have that stunning look is a sliver. The combo doesnt look so great when it is aged imo.

A somewhat more subtle, but totally stable option is coco and bacote. Most bowyers are able to find yellow tinted bocote, and it is an awsome combo. My Fox High Sierra had that combo. You get all the color benefit, plus the highly figured nature of bocote, and theres no color change. JMO

Cocobolo and Amarilla 'Tip .Amarilla is the (other yellow wood) that does not darken, only gets richer looking.     :D
