Saturday Stumpin
« on: April 11, 2009, 06:26:00 PM »
This afternoon me and my dad went up to his piece of woods to shoot some stumps. Here are some of the pictures.

Heres one of me. (Im not at full draw yet because my dad took the picture a little early)

Heres one of Andy.

Mines the top one and his is the bottom one.

Of course when I try to pull it out, the insert comes out of the arrow. I guess that loctite epoxy isn't doing very well but those field points with the star lookin ring things behind them aren't very good to pull out of stumps anyway. I'm ordering some ace hex points sometime soon.

Heres a shotgun shell my dad hit. He says if deer walked around with shells on them he could hit everyone of them, yet when he shoots at a root clump of a fallen tree thats the size of a moose, he looses his arrow in the dirt beneath it.   :knothead:
Hope you like the pictures!

Pounding those stumps is the best way to learn how to judge distance besides having fun shooting.   ;)        :)
