Kenny I know you got the birds! My grandpa lives south of ya and regularly sends me pics of birds in his back yard, usually flocks of 20- 50 or more    Go ahead and start that bow, 1 for deer, one for turkey, one for rabbit, one for the sqs,... oh ya, one for 3-d, one for hogs,... and we aint even started on the out of state list!!!  ;)

Aw yes Kenny nice job. BTW finally putting the glue and glass I got from you into the shape of a bow for my grand daughter. She's going to help me with it this afternoon. Thanks for helping me spend quality time with her.

What a great project for Brothers to work on. Sure wish my Bro had more interest in trad gear but being a police officer, he's more into things that go boom. Maybe down the road.

Did your Brother use a walnut stain on the limb veneers?  Very cool looking. Also love the look of the belly glass and core running into the riser. Excellent!

Good luck with the turkeys.

Hey Mike,

We used some lockwood dye that I bought from Binghams about 2 years ago. Silver grey first, then walnut.
Mixed with hot water and brushed on,then blotted off with a clean cloth.
We had to lay them under a board with weight to keep em flat, then put in the hotbox on low heat to dry.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
