Cool deer. Interesting pic.
Assuming the pic is from April 13 (yesterday), breeding and conception would have been Sept. 24 (+/- 2 days) last year. Is that a plausible breeding date for the picture location?

Isn't it kind of early for fawning? Ours typically start in mid to late May.
Maybe she works for the Post Office.

I saw a deer track today that wasn't even a inch long. Some of the older does have their fawns in April. They are the first to come in heat in the fall.

Maybe they do fawn earlier up north. They come into rut before our southern deer, right? That would make sense.

It seems pretty early to me most of the fawns around here drop in early May.

If she bred early, she'll drop early. Its only 2 weeks till May.

I'm not too sure about it being early. Growing up in PA, trout season usually opened the second week in April and it was common to run into fawns by the following weekend. A week or two early is nothing abnormal.

I'll keep an eye for a fawn, I go by there about 3 times a week and she is there almost every time.
