Me and a Buddy double up on Gobblers!

These pics are about a week apart but we had a ball chasing them for a few days. Got both on video, and had a few misses as well!
This was my buddy's (ironhide)(first pic) first trad bow kill, and he made an excellent shot!!
He was shooting a 60" 55@28 Kanati, and I had my 58" 52@28 Thunder Mt. Lobo.

Dave
It sat out for awhile last season and got pretty faded... did't seem to bother the turkeys any though, had lots of em' all around us most every day we were there.

Congrats you guy's!! That looks like a bloody arrow in the quiver priceless. Well Jake if you can hit one of those gobblers you should not have any trouble with the hogs. When are you going anyway? I have been waiting for some pics. Take care..Henry

Great job Jake. I had one of those miserable hunts Saturday when our season opened. I got up at 5 am drove 45 minutes to our farm, got all the way back to the woods. Heard two gobblers and had eased into around 150 yards of them when I heard a four wheeler start up at the road. The guy drove it all the way back to where I was gets off of it and walks 50 yards to his blind he had set up just across the property line. Once it gets light the birds flew off the other direction. OHHHHHHHH some people amaze me.
Sorry just had to vent. I'm still steaming about it.

Shaun, I agree. These merriams have got to be some of the prettiest birds...well from the neck down... :D
KYTJ - I hear ya Bro..We had the same kind of opener with a couple of gun hunters, they started booming away and there went the birds! Keep at it!!
