My new Dwyer longbow is on the way.....(Pics Added)
« on: March 20, 2007, 08:10:00 PM »
I just got the call from Sue. It goes in the mail tomorrow and hopefully will be here by the weekend. I already have one of Dave's bows. Its a 64" 56 @ 28. The new bow is identical to the old one except it is 65lbs. I guess you could say I now have twins.     I will post some pictures when the bow gets here.

What brace height are you guys running your originals at ?

I just received a 68" from AkDan and can't wait to get it tuned in.

Nice bow, thanks Dan !

The brace height suggestions worked real well guys, thanks.

I'll try and get pics up soon too. This 61#'r has some real nice curly maply veneers and it sure loves the heavy arrows. WHUMP !

Slayer, how did you get the 650gr from your GT's ?

Well, I plan on adding mine to the "official-unofficial Dwyer longbows" thread I started in November of 04'  ;)

Watch for that thread to pop back to the top soon.  :D

Hopefully, I'll be able to add a Dauntless to that thread within another 3 years  ;)

Gold tip sells a weight system to go with there arrows. The weights come in 50 20 and 10 grains. They sell a long allen wrench and you screw the weights into the back of the riser. I makes it real easy to add weight. I think you can get the weight system from Black Widow. Their prices are pretty good too.

One more. I wanted both bows to be identical except for the poundage. One is 58lbs and one is 65lbs.
