Very nicely done. Always difficult to make a good shot on a turkey regardless of the distance. Congrats to both of you.

Trophy Jake is right!! Thats awesome right there. How do you both fit and shoot out of that blind?LOL.
One option is to breast out the two big "chest muscles", very easy to do...soak in salt water for a day and then marinate for another day in your favorite marinade and then barbeque it...cooking it lightly and medium heat. You can add a pan of water to the bbq to keep it moist.

4runr- The old bow is a 1970's era (I think) Bear Super Kodiak Magnum. Brittany pulls 45 lbs at 29". She was shooting a gold tip 35-55 with a two hundred grain grizzly broadhead. Brittany loves that bow and swears she never wants a different one. I love it to because its so short and nimble for hunting on the ground.
Randy- thanks for the recipe, its sounds delicious and I think thats how were going to make it.
Thanks for all the input, Brittany's soaking it all up.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Congrats to the both of you! It's great for a couple to have a mutual hobby. My wife also like to tag along, but doesn't carry her bow very often.

Justin, just by looking at the pictures her bow appears to be a 1966 or 67 Kodiak Magnum. If you P.M. me the serial number I can tell you on that particular year and model. I'd be happy to send you a scan of that catalog page once the year is determined. I've always found it neat to know. It would appear the bow is quite a bit older that either of you! CKruse

ckruse,
will do, that sounds awesome. It sure is fun to know a little history of the bow your carrying around. I'll look it up and get back to you.
My bow has a little history to, I plan on writing the name of each species I harvest with it on the limb. That should be neat.
