D Day this Friday...
« on: April 28, 2009, 05:26:00 PM »
Our New York season for longbeards opens this Friday and fortunately I have 3 days off of work.
Got home 6am this morning, hit the crow call and had 2 gobbles...

Just sprayed down my clothes with tick repellant, got the Kempf Longbow tuned with some heavy cedars and I mounted a few original Bear Razorheads on along with the 160 gr Snuffers.

Hopefully the weather holds and the birds cooperate. Good luck to all New Yorkers!   :p

Do the hunt Mike, do the honey do list in the middle of winter when you can't do nothing else   ;)  I'm off Fri through Mon. I'm taking the bow Joe is using a shotgun, this is his first season I want him to get one under his belt. He told me after he gets one he wants to go trad only

Mikey, I know that you are married to an angel, because she hasn't killed you yet. So, logical deduction leads me to conclude that any angel worth her wings would have put "Hunt turkeys" on the honey-do list. Matter o' fack, she probably put it right in the number one slot.

Either that, or you're gonna catch halo.

Deadbolt, wildlife have learned to control the weather-and we thought they were simply dumb animals!  We've had rain and snow, high winds one day, and I know of only two birds taken in the area so far.  Our season has been open since 15 April.  We hear `em, but we don't see `em!!  Best of luck to all you guys!
