Oh my Oh my...Charlie Lamb
« on: April 30, 2009, 08:39:00 AM »
A long box arrived at my clinic yesterday!

To back step one second, I was privileged to share Whip's pyramid tent with he and Charlie Lamb this past February down Texas way.  I found myself having to keep a towel in hand to wipe the drool off my face every time Charlie came in with his Sunbear  :D

OK back to the present, I did break down and have Charlie make me a longbow.  He asked me what I wanted & liked...55# +/- and my favorite wood is Osage.  But beyond that I said surprise me with your artistic eye!  I don't normally do that if I'm going to buy a new bow except every Sunbear I have seen as been drop jaw gorgeous!!

Charlie emailed  me a couple of weeks ago saying the final finish was drying, she came in at 56#, and He was having a hard time letting her go!  It's been a long couple of weeks but boy was it worth the wait.

My new Sunbear...you can see how she shines in the sun too.  This is my Quebec Quest III bow for sure.  Thanks Charlie   :notworthy:    :notworthy:  Doc

64" black glass back, 3 lams bamboo, belly lam Osage under clear glass and sheep horn tips.

Tip,

What a beautiful bow! You made a great call by letting Charlie create a bow that pleases his eye. I have only purchased one custom bow, so far, but you can be assured I will put Charlie on my list of " Must have" bows.
