ALMOST messed up!
« on: April 30, 2009, 06:35:00 PM »
Had my MOAB up for sale. Actually had it ready to ship to a good friend when he had some unexpected expenses pop up, so I re-listed it here and had several inquiries, but nothing solid. I had the hankerin' for a 3 pc. longbow...a Pronghorn in particular and with money being tight right now, the only way to get a Pronghorn was to sale or trade the MOAB.
Got home late this evening and didn't have time to get to the turkey woods. I figured I'd string to MOAB up and fling a few for old times sake. Well, that brought me to my senses and she ain't going nowhere for awhile. Sweet, smooth shootin' little bow that ain't too hard to look at either! What posseses me to do such stupid stuff? I bet I'm the only one that ever did such a thing!

I'm going thru this right now Mike. I want to try a few different bows out, so I put it up for trade/sale and in the meantime every time I shoot my Whisperstik I get all confused on why I want to try a different bow because the bow I have in my hand is a real shooter! I have a couple things going on with it right now and if they don't go thru I'm going to take it off the market as well!

Don't get rid of them, just buy more!!!  Then you'll have a wall full and can't figure out which one to shoot, or worse, which ones to get rid of!!!!!!  Of course, I've only heard of people with this problem, I don't have it personally.

You people need help!!!

So here ya' go.  I'm gonna help you.  :readit:

Buying and trading used bows is like making investments.  Only better!  Say you had taken that money a couple of years ago and invested in the stock market.  And now the stock market is down like what, 50 percent?

Used bows, on the other hand, tend to hold their value very well.  I've sometimes sold bows for even more than what I paid for them!  And an astute trader can sometimes come out even better.
I once had a guy trade TWO very good bows to me for one that I had that he coveted.

So see, it's not a sickness at all.  It's shrewd investing!!          :biglaugh:

I'm with selfbow, buy more. That is why there are so many bows at my house. Remember "a man cannot have too many bows". Sometimes my wife will ask me what I did today and I respond, "I shot 5 bows today".
