Bow done for A F vet PICS
« on: April 30, 2009, 09:49:00 PM »
Son Brandon was home on leave a few weeks ago,he liked my bow so much,I built one for him. No surprises,he picked the woods.

Coco riser with black glass canine accent
jatoba back veneers
zebra belly veneers
walnut core
black and white glass and coco accents on back
black and white phenolic with coco on tips
64" d/r longbow
50#@28"

I did a buildalong on the bowyers bench, but here it is for y'all that don't go there....

Don't know whether to ship it to him or shoot it til he comes home again!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Very nice!!!! I followed the build-a-long and you are true craftsman.

P.S. I am up for adoption if you need another son to build a bow for.

Kenny, great work. I just gave my favorite longbow to my (soon to be born) grandson's pappy who is headed to Afghanistan this year. Its always nice to get bows in the hands of those who serve us, especially if were related!
