Geeze, Thank y'all - really! I love doing it and I think (I shold be saying "we", Rose and I) it is arguably one of the most important and best causes anyone can contribute to, and I have thought that ever since Danny Thomas first started promoting it - bless his heart (and the memories he left us).

I was just looking for a thread (re the auction) to post on that I'd be back tomorrow to post Rose's hand crafted Afghan donations (adult and baby sized ones) - light permitting, when I saw this thread. Thank you, Terry (and all). Taking pictures of those Afghans is a little different "program" - LOL. I have finished for tonight though, Terry. That's the "stuff" I had decided on for this year -  though I will be taking another good look around before we're all done - LOL. It really means so very much to me that Doug and Terry & Rob (and whoever else) started this auction and made it an annual thing - allowing us the chance to be a small part of helping out St. Jude as TradGang does each year. Please - every person who possibly can - find some way to help out, no matter what it is or how much you think it might not help enough. Believe us when we say - every little bit helps - and adds up BIG TIME!!!

I haven't been posting as much this year (since Deer season ended), as I am mostly just doing (pleasure) reading a lot these days but you will "see" and "hear" me more during the auction - LOL. Please join us in whatever way you can.

This is a good place to put this also. I just got a PM from another member (as I was hoping I might) who knew more about the "Musical Instrument" I posted on the auction. It is dynomite info, and obviously very much on. It will be a added surprise for all and I will post it to the Item's thread, when those threads are opened up for the auction. This could turn out to be a "real treasure" - LOL - and someone is going to capture it. (thank you, "razorback")

Yup rainmaker. I have seen them out west body is made from dead, hollow cactus, of which the spikes are removed and inserted back in the instrument.
The one you are showing may be South American.

Yep - I also had a note from another person whose wife is a music teacher and she said pretty much the same as razorbak and you guys. She referred to it as a "rainstick" also. It does sound like falling rain for sure.
