I haven't seen anything that a Buck Crosslock with a drop point blade and a gut hook won't handle.

Benchmade Griptilian daily carry.

Doug Campbell neck knife, whenever hunting.

Ruana (gift from my ex-in-laws) if carrying without regard to weight.

Mora if weight-limited.

I'm a lucky man; batting .500 great blades Montana-made.

I've carried A Camillus centerloc folder for the last 28 yrs. in my pack I also carry a case one arm trapper.This season I have also started to carry one VERY sharp Sticshooter belt knife.

Oh, I forgot a carpet knife with a major gut hook, primarily to rip leg skin.

And a really nice Koster bushcraft knife bought on a deal if I'm going high and long.

Daily a little Buck with a one finger opening device kind of Ken Onion style; in the field mostly a Buck 110 folder and a Bob Dozier drop point hunter.

I carry four knives total at all time, One dagger for my protection, a floding guthook-skinner and saw. A clip knife and another folding lock back skinner!! And sometimes a swedish neck knife, and a large shrade belt knife. That should be all of'em I think!!

So far I don't hunt any thing bigger than a deer. I have an old folding Buck 110 that the very tip was broken and then reshaped my dad gave it to me when I was a kid. I also have a kershaw locking folder. Both get wicked sharp. The buck is for sentimental reasons. I always have a gerber saw for the rib cage no sense abuseing a knife.

I carry my Dad's custom Randall. He had it made in 1941 before shipping out and passed it on to me when I was drafted in 1967. It's no beauty but its a tough knife.
My folder is either an old Gerber or my Spyderco military.

Nothing fancy for me.

* Mid-size Swiss Army Knife or a Gerber LST folder for small game and stuff.
* Gerber belt knife for deer (practically new - bleah).
* USMC fighting knife or a tomahawk - for whatever.
