I recently gave a nice python backed osage self bow to a friend as a present and guide tip. He is the game manager / guide of a large farm holding and a serious wheel bow hunter. Also, he is a swell fellow. I honestly thought this bow would end up hung on his den wall as decoration.
Hi Shaun,
I finally got out and shot the beautiful Python Bow aka Constrictor. My first two shots, right handed, felt uncomfortable
and left a nice welt on my left forearm. I switched to lefty and the fun started immediately. I couldn't believe how fun it was and
I noticed improvement with almost every shot. After 50 arrows I was consistently hitting the target most of the time. I also had a
beauty of a welt on my right forearm, though putting on a light jacket took care of that problem quite well. I will be getting an arm guard soon.
When I just concentrated on a spot from a distance of 10 to 15 yards, drew back and released, I was hitting the spot almost half of the time. Most importantly
I was having a blast and now I can't wait to get some more time to play. I think it's addictive!
Thank you so much for the opportunity and the new challenge of trying traditional archery.
I vow to take a deer as soon as I feel I can ethically make the shot. I think this is going to be a great adventure for me, thanks to you.
