LEFTIES - Are ya Hunting for a good cause???
« on: May 13, 2009, 11:26:00 AM »
Would you like to?????

I'd like to introduce you to the St Jude's Rover Gals for 2009/2010....Miss Hope and Faith by Dryad!!! Mike 'wingnut' Westvang has stepped up and donated the bows for this years effort, and did an outstanding job let me tell ya!

Inside the case is a hard back journal to list name, date, location and animal if taken and you can even add a hero photo if you like. And a schedule list of names, addresses, and dates of hunters so we'll know who's got it when and where she goes next.

The twins will travel around North America hunting for a year with different Trad Gang members. At the end of the year each bow with her respective journal will be put up on our 2010 St Jude's Auction. Each hunter could also offer up the arrow he or she used to the St Jude's if they'd like, or they could keep it themselves as a memento. That option would be up to the individual. We will try and schedule the bows with hunting seasons by region. As of right now the gals would be hunting turkeys and spring bears, but when those seasons ends they'd be chasing hogs in states where the season is year round...and in the fall the gals would roam regions with shorter big game seasons like up north or out west. Anyway, we are going to keep them in hunting season all year.

A sticky post to the top of the PowWow will keep track of their adventures and travels.

Everyone on the list will have the bow for ONE MONTH. Each member that gets drawn to hunt with the bow would need to commit to shipping the bow 3rd day ground to the next member. It MUST be shipped in a manner it can be tracked and signed for.

If you do commit to taking one of these gals for a month please remember you are responsible for her....getting her shipped out ON TIME  in a manner that can be tracked and signed for to the next person.....letting us know if there is a problem with your commitment if a problem arises....letting us know if you move and your address changes.....MARK YOUR CALENDAR so you don't forget about your date....and letting us know if the bow don't show up ASAP.  If you feel you cannot accept this commitment...please do not participate.

The bow could also be scheduled to go on a hunt where several members are attending...like a TX Sweat hunt, Shawn's Bunny Hunt, etc, where more members would have a chance to hunt with it. We would also like for everyone that hunts with the bow take their picture with it no matter if they took an animal or not....and tell about the adventures of hunt.

With all that said, we'd like to graciously thank Mike Westvang for donating the bows. Tip of the hat to you Sir!

If you would like to hunt with one of these bows, please email Curt 'Guru' Cabrera and include what game and month you are wanting to hunt. If you are right handed PLEASE include "HOPE" in your email title, and if you are left handed PLEASE include "FAITH" in your email. That way we can file those emails in their own separate folder for less confusion, and we'll schedule the best we can. BTW, you must be over 21 years old to participate AND be a regular participating member to qualify.

The Bows leave out June 1st...and the last month will be May 2010.

Please email Curt Cabrera directly at....

[email protected]

Again, please note in the email what month you want to hunt with the bow, and what animal(s).  AND!!! Make sure you include your name, handle and MEMBER NUMBER when emailing Curt.

Pics posted below.

Thanks,

Terry,

Thanks for the kind words and be sure to include my partner, bow designer and son.  It was his idea to do this for St. Judes this year.

Might want to change the title so people know this is the signup thread.

I have everyone's emails so far....but because of my computer problems...it's hard for me to respond to them where they are.....

I need for everyone that has already sent one,to send another to the same email and it will get forwarded to where I can respond to let you know I've received it....

Thanx
