I talked to Shane Hyme and he still makes bows but sells them mostly through his shop in Lancaster, Ohio.  If I get up that way I will have to check out his shop and range.  He explained to me that the "083109"  on the lower riser identifies the date it was completed so my bow was built Aug 31, 2009.  He specifically designed these relatively shorter reflex deflex longbows for bow fishing that he does a lot of out on Lake Erie . . .

Here is a cocobolo riser with bocote limbs over bamboo.  One of my all-time favorite wood combos!!

JD Berry made this one for me.I just said I wanted a mix of light and dark woods in it.Couldn't have been any happier when it got here!    :D

I've sold and traded alot of bows. This one and one other are the only ones I regret getting rid of. Bocote belly and rock python skin backed.

If I am not wrong, futurewood or dymondwood are heavier than any non processed wood.
Instinctive gapper.
