Hybrid L B vs Recurve
« on: May 18, 2009, 06:15:00 AM »
I'm thinking about trading for a hybrid longbow and was wondering what changes in my shooting I would need to make. I shoot and have always shot a recurve. I now shoot a wapiti T.D. recurve 51 @ 28. The bow Im looking at is a Crow Creek Blackfeather 51@28.  Grip  how do you hold the bow, arrow spine will I be able to shoot the same arrow? Any input on changes you have made would be helpful.  Thanks

I have a Crow Creek with LB and Recurve limbs. No real difference in how they shoot but I shoot the LB limbs better on that bow. Your arrows you were shooting should be fine being the same poundage. The Crow Creek LB limbs are pretty fast shooters so the spine should be the same as a fast recurve. My LB limbs are 50# @ 28" and they are plenty fast.
