John turns 40 today and his age now matches his hairstyle.  :p

Thank you all.  That is very nice of you.  I am truly blessed with great friends all over the world.  I hope to share a fire with all of you some day.

I had a good weekend.  Friday, my wife rescues me from work (with the boss' permission) and drags me away for some couple time in Downtown Indy.  Then we hit an awesome Greek restaurant with my brother and sister and their significant others.  Then we go duckpin bowling.

Saturday, I get up early for the boy's Cub Scout pinewood derby.  I won the Dad's class!  Then we spent the afternoon riding our bikes, playing in the creek, getting chased by neting geese, rastling snapping turtles and so on.  I even got to spend a couple hours in the shop working on a cool sinew-backed yew flatbow with lacewood tip overlays.  It's gorgeous.  I'm putting prarie rattlers on it.  Family cookout last night followed by Peyton Manning on SNL.  Peyton and I share a birthday BTW.

Today was more fun with fried chicken and all the fixins plus chocolate mayonaise cake.  Overall, a very blessed weekend.
