Just got home from a fabulous weekend with good friends in Door County: Ron and Annee Lang. Besides carp shooting we gorged ourselves on ribs, moose steaks and homemade italian sausages. The ladies toured in the Miata while myself, Ron, my son Bryan and Kevin Bahr were in pursuit of the rare and elusive carp. Our first spot that we checked on turned out to be the honey hole, but only after we cleared the boat launch of an 18ft Ranger boat pulled by a 2 wheel drive mini van. No way he was getting out unassisted. Nothing like a boat landing for entertainment!!!
The shooting was quite easy as we never got into water deeper than a foot and a half. My shortest shot was 1 foot, this shot was common.
Thats me with Ron in the background.

Ron with an average size fish and his stringer.
Bryan doing battle.
Bryan with the barrels full. The water wasn't deep enough to float the boat out.
We had to tow the rest.
Here is Kevin, and yes that is his Paul Schaffer carp shooting bow on the pile.
Group shot.
The load ready for the compost pile. That trailer is 12 feet long.
Thanks again to Ron and Annee, as well as the Pinney"s for their great hospitality.
