« on: May 27, 2009, 06:53:00 PM »
I have decided I want to try a flatbow like a Northern Mist Huron or Mahaska or Kohanna flatbow. Can any of you flatbow shooters tell me about your likes and dislikes of any of these bows? Thanks, Bob

I like flatbows, but I make my own.  I've heard good recommendations on all three of those, though.  I'm sure they're better than mine!  :^)

Frank, yes I would like to make one but I have never seen one except the Great Northern Bushbow and while I liked it a lot I would like to hear some opinions on the others out there and what features made them good and what features might not be so good. I have a bow to trade and I wanted some opinions before I traded. Bob

Hi I have the BUSHBOW by Rodney Wright--it is a 52 inch [email protected] use it when I am in the thick and dirty wet stuff--which is usually less than 15 yards; Or in a closed in blind. It weighs next to nothing---smooth, fast,no handshock.
Unfortunately I can't do pictures.

You can't go wrong with the Huron.

I have one on order right now.  Live about an hour away from Steve's shop.  If you have any questioins I'd be happy to answer them for you.  I saw two Hurons hanging in his shop last week.

Well Robert, sounds like alot of pluses on this style. How about a self bow or bbo flatbow? They're a simple design. What are you trading for? This design is pretty Bullitt proof. Good shootin to you.
