Just read the story nicely told!! Great pics to accompany it, the posed hero shots are great and the field pic with the turkeys is very unique. Everyone should give it a look. Curt is this your first article? I'm new to trad (about 2 years) so I'm still getting familiar with all the faces and names. Also is it just me or is Bowhunter giving a lot more coverage to trad over the last year or so. Joe

Good stuff, Curt! I'll have to pop-in to the news agent here and see if they have one. They usually have a couple of US wheelie bow (mostly) magazines. The bigger the magazine, the tougher it is to get a story in, so well-done!

Thanx guys.....No it's not my first published, but it is my first in Bowhunter Mag....others have been in Trad. Bowhunter Mag....
There's a story of the whole hunt in the "Memorable Hunts" forum....
There's also a great article by TG'er Bryce Lambley about a buck he killed last year....good stuff! He's a much better writer than I'll ever be

Congratulations Curt!
I think it's great that you submitted to Bowhunter Mag. That publication takes a lot of flak in traditional circles because of its focus on the high tech segment. But realistically, if we hope the masses will be exposed to the traditional side of things we need articles like that in their magazines.
Good job!

I've read a few of Bryce's articles, he is a very good writer!! Looks like the school teacher and the Pronghorn strike again!! This fella knows how to get it done. I believe that is the buck in his avatar. Especially like the line about, "perfume chasing hours." Bryce did you have any luck with your daughters last year? I'm looking into ladder stands for the first time this year to bring my 5 year olds along a few times this year. Good job again guys

Nice job Curt and Bryce! I also saw the face of another Tradganger, Pete Iacavazzi in Curt's article. Some say they don't like Bowhunter Mag because there's too much high tech stuff, but then again I see the likes of these guys to balance things and help shape other's opinions. I like that! Mike
