I do shoot 160 snuffers, glue ons, but would like a little thicker blades. They tend to "tweak" a bit if you practice with them. The vents do not bother me a bit.

I set mine up with the 125 glue-on and 100 grain steel screw-in adapters.  Once glued up, they are all coming in on my scales at 229-230 grains.  Mine fly great.  I don't think I have the need to change this setup.  These heads are killers!
I have never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.

My vote for a 160 grain glue.

I'd love to see welded, glue-on Woodmans offered in 190-200 grns.  (For the last few years, I've gone to Ace and Grizzly to get the weights I want.)  I don't care if they have vents or not, and bigger is fine, too (if not preferable) to get the weight.  Just keep the 3:1 shape and offer them in the orginal welded version.

The original welded Woodsmans have worked fine for me in the past on maybe 10 deer and a pile of small game.  Even with a needle tip, none suffered the slightest damage.  I'm sure this second generation is great, too, but I see negligible returns for their cost and can't justify it on my wallet.

The only actual "improvement" that I would like to see is better quality contol on the steel hardness.  Depending on the pack, the hardness may be fine and allow them to be sharpened nicely, while some of those buggers are so hard, it's like trying to sharpen a diamond.

Yep, Boost the weight and keep them priced right, and I'd switch back and buy a bunch.

I've spoke with Ted Fry of Raptor Archery some time back about the need of a one piece 3 blade weighing in at 200 grains. The woodsman would be a perfect canidate for just that. The 300 Extreme is a heck of a head, but a bit heavy for 50-55 lb in most hunting situations. I would love to see a ventless, one piece woodsman that weighs in at 200 grains. Until then, i will shoot them the way they are, but would definately be ordering the new style.

I like no vents and heavier, but if you don't make 'em wider, ya can't hurt anything, much less kill it.

Bowmania, I guess they didn't kill these?  "[dntthnk]"

"From whay I've seen so far they are awesome. Dale gave me a few early one before we went to Argentina this spring. They mounted true and easy. I could get them hair popping sharp with just a file in less than a minute. Shot a capybara, feral hog and a chital stag down there and a couple turkeys in MI and IN. Dale and Rich also used them to collect some dandy trophies. I think they have another winner."

I would have liked for the Elite to have been the same exact specs as the original with the new manufacturing advantages.  That would be my #1 prefference....same exact specs - new and improved.....as I think they nailed the specs on the original....and there really wasn't another head like it out there when it was introduced.

#2 prefference the Hybrid I posted about on the other thread.... Vented and non vented for two weights....175 and 200.

I am in for 200 grain one piece screw in.  I been shooting the razorcaps to get my 200 grains.  WOuld switch back to the woodsmans.

Oh yeah...any chance of a single bevel 3 blade?

Exactly! If it comes out a bit heavier to keep the same dimensions, fine.
