Help with numbers on Bear TD limbs
« on: June 12, 2009, 06:52:00 AM »
Can anyone help me with these numbers on these take down Bear limbs?      3-w-5727 and c-40"-60#, b-34"-65#, a-30"-70#, 3-w-5727.

I get the, # = draw weight,  but not the c-40" , b=34", a-30" ?

Thanks for your help

The limbs are different draw weight on the different length risers and of course will result in different length bows.

I know what your talking about, saw that too. I've been around bear takedowns since they first came out in the early '70s. This guys numbers don't make sense. Looks like several have asked and he gives the same answer. Should read as length and weight of that set of limbs on the various handles, and the limb No (1, 2, or 3)and serial No. Such as

No 1 XXXX

A 56" 50#
B 60" 48#
C 66" 42#

Limbs No.s are the length of the limb with No. 1s being the shortest and 3 being longest

Handles are A,B, or C with the A handle being the shortest.

Looks like the lengths should have been A=60" B=64" C=70" which would make them a set of #3 limbs.
