My new homemaid LB grip
« on: June 13, 2009, 04:22:00 PM »
the original grip on my 200 dollar longbow was slick. So when I sweat the bow moves around a little. We cant have that now can we  :)

Here is the before, like it came from the store.

Here is my 15 dollars worth of materials from the craft store.

the cutouts, new on the left and old on the right. (this is the first time I have ever done anything like this so I know its not perfect)

After the wrap

added a little bead action  :)

DONE! on the way out the back door to shoot!!

shoots great! And now it feels great!!

Nice job!

My buddy used beads on his grip like that. They looked really cool but they made a loud CLICK against the riser when he shot. Might have to use dyed mini marshmallows.  :)

I was worried about that while I was doing it but it turned out okay. Doesn't make any noise when I shoot. But of course if I brush up against something they do. I will try tying a rubber band around them or taking them off when i hunt with it.  :)
