STOS Heads

Are all of the STOS heads the same length and width? I was looking at the 160s and though that they might work on some 75 grain adaptors and carbon arrows.  If you have any picks of game taken with STOS heads, please post.

The dimensions on the STOS are the same, it's just the thickness of the laminations that differs in order to make the different weights.

Excellent heads.

Send me your addy and I'll send you one or two to try.  Good heads.  FYI, mine came in at about 156g average.

Has the design changed recently for them? I saw where someone had mentioned teflon coatings and a tanto tip? But looking on the website, nothing seems different.

David, the new head they're working on will have those features.  Current STOS have a "mini tanto" in that the needle point has been taken off, but nothing like a Grizzly.  More like the Magnus diamond tip.

Tim-
Any guesstimate on when the new design may be out for general consumption?

They're my favourite. If you go to their website (  www.stosbroadheads.com  ) you will be able to see lots of different animals taken with them.

David, they've had so many disappointing delays that they won't even give me a guess anymore.  They were originally slated for spring of this year and now I'm not sure if they're going to make it by this hunting season.

If they turn out to be everything I've been told they'll be worth waiting for.
