bob lee limb fit question

has anyone who has bought limbs 2nd hand had any fitment problems onto the riser? i mean have they fitted the locating bushes well? just wondering if the limbs are custom fitted to each riser when they are made or if they are interchangable and still fit well?
i might buy some 2nd limbs oneday if what i want comes up on the classifieds.
one thing that has me doubting is when i returned a set of limbs for replacement i had to send the riser as well so they could fit the limbs to the riser. this makes me think that each limb set is custom fitted to the riser.
i would imagine though that they have a jig in the factory which they produce them on.

Your assumptions are correct,I figured the same thing, but I had to send in my riser to get fitted for a second set of limbs.
I don't think there is any guarantee someone elses limbs will fit your riser.

Ozy I have mixed and matched all kinds of limbs with 3-diff. risers and no problems at all.I now have two risers and have main limbs for each but can interchange if needed and have many times.Have to say some felt a little tighter to line up but never caused problems and recurve on a longbow riser or visaversa also works.Kip

I'll second what Kip said. I mixed and matched several different limbs and risers and never had a problem. I asked Rob Lee about this before I bought one of their takedowns and he said the 'fitting' was just to assure a nice, clean, flush fit between the riser and limbs.
