One of our members, Tique, gave a little time to actually do what I suggested and "think about it", in regards to giving some thought to preparing for next years St. Judes Auction. He then sent me a PM and suggested I post a "Challenge". I love the idea and am tickeled to death to start this thread with the hopes a lot of our members ("Posters" and "Readers" - I hate the term "Lurkers") will take it to heart, and then we all can see what happens to it.
The majority of our members(if not all) give very positive response to the Annual St. Judes Auctions, and the concensus seems to be we all wish we could do at least a little (or a little more). Well I feel certain that you know where we are going with this, just from the title. We all also know how easy it is to have honest, heartfelt intentions, and then have time get away from us. So a little twist is proposed for those who wish they could have helped (and all those who did help too). Keep it as little, or as big, as you feel you can, or need to - remember it all will help make great stories for Kids at St. Judes in need, and their families.
Right now - this coming week - meet "The Challenge"! Get a Mason Jar (or a suitable substitute - but Mason Jars are Trad - LOL) and set it near your computer. Where you visit Tradgang.com - and everytime you think of it throw any change in it you can BUT at the end of each month give a little extra thought to it and if you think you haven't met the challenge of One Dollar in the jar - make sure you bring it up to that, at least. Again - Think about it - work the numbers - if only a bare quarter of us were to do this - we would have a couple thousand folks with 12 bucks to buy an item to donate, or bid at least twelve dollars on a small item, or donate $12.00 cash (at least) to next years St. Judes Tradgang Annual Auction. Are you crunching the numbers and seeing the possibilities??? We (you) can make it happen. Those who are able to will make it far better - as they always do - But you, and you, and you over there, and , yes, me can make a difference too. Jump on this "Challenge Train" (and thread) and do as Tique did - "actually think about it" Wadda'ya got tuh lose? AND it will be fun! A year goes by so fast - let's not let it slip out of our graspe - please!
