I sold Wes's bows at the archery shop I worked at. I never had a single issue or problem with any of his bows. Wes has been at it for along time and his bows are one of the best. Wes is also (like most boyers) a stand up guy.

I have a Mentor from Wes. The craftsmanship is excellent, the finish, gloss, was super. Shoots up there with the best recurves. The woods he selected were top quality.  I would not hesitate to buy a bow from Wes. In fact, just purchased a Royal longbow take-down from him this week.

I have 2 of his Mentors...one TD and a one pc...and both are outstanding in looks and performance.

He's a quality bowyer with integrity and will do what it takes to make you happy with your bow.

Great bows, shot them for years. I would highly recommend them and Wes is great to deal with. I really like the grip on them and they shoot where you look. Actually borrowed my brother's Mentor from him and shot it some this weekend.

Have two mentors myself, Ebony t/d and ebony 1 pc. I just received a few weeks ago. T/D is my go to bow for hunting. Just sent the t/d to Wes to be refinished, very reasonable. Good solid bow, comfortable grip and quiet.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Wes Wallace makes great longbows. I have a 66" 60 pound Royal that has a knock out punch and draws smooth as butter.

(Of course, being a Wallace, I am partial to my clan.)

I was thinking of selling my Mentor, and even had it posted on this site to sell; however, I decided it would be a mistake to sell it and deleted the ad.

Oh, like many on this site - I have a few bows, but the WW Mentor is a solid performer with beautiful lines. In short, it's a keeper (although I do love longbows!).

I have two friends who ordered recently and it took 8 - 9 months. My last one took 8 months, but its best to talk to Wes directly. Wes handles every bow, and in his own way has helped establish many bow clubs in his area. To me, his bows are a great value and stand up to a lot of harsh treatment during the many hunts I’ve been on. It’s all a personal choice and I would try to shoot one before you decide. Mike

My take-down Royal should be here on Monday- Cocobola with bamboo limbs. I can't wait.

Wes is a great guy to deal with.

The wife and I just picked up our longbows from Wes a month ago.  Wes is a great guy, provides  excellent customer service, and the bows are both gorgeous.  His bows are worth way more than he is charging for them.  I already have another one in the works in my mind and plan to order it in a month or so.  Our wait time was 8 months.  8 months of anticipation and excitement.  The wife and I drove down and picked them up at his shop.

My expectations were totally exceeded in every way.

I have a take-down mentor. I really like it. Right now I am shooting an ACS CX but I don't think I will ever sell the mentor. It is a great bow. It is fast, smooth, beautiful, has a great grip, just a well built all around bow. Gary

Anyone doing it as long as Mr. Wallace has is obviously doing things right.

Wes makes a great recurve and I love his longbows. I have two royals for sale, just too heavy for me. PM me if your looking for a nice backup bow.
