I just prefer to have 100's of bows with only 1 mark on them!!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

I have only been hunting with trad equipment for 2 seasons and i have 2 bows now but the new one has never been in the woods except for some stump shooting. I killed 2 turkeys the spring after I bought my first bow then 3 deer and 2 hogs that fall the next spring I killed 2 more turkeys. That summer I bought the second bow then this last fall I killed 4 deer and 2 hogs and this spring 4 turkeys. I shoot really well with the new bow but when it comes time to go to the woods I always reach for the old faithful. Maybe it seems silly or superstitious but the first one works so ...... I dont know maybe one of these days the new bow will get to go hunting.

I wish Kenny!

I use one called Pen-Touch to ink my bows specs. It's made by Sakura and sold at Michael's Arts and Crafts. It drys quickly and is impervious to alcohol or acetone. Lacquer thinner will wipe it off though. I mostly use gold or silver and I think they are the bomb! They would work very well for this. I don't know what he uses though.

If you guys want to see bunches of videos made by the man himself, do a google search for "The Womack Journals".

My God, 10 does for only 2 bucks? isn't it leading to the breeding of gay bucks??   :biglaugh:

I have seen a few guys who shoot a lot of deer, and they always have a plan for the meat.  Some have a list of people that want a deer.  Some donate to hunters for the hungry.  Some have get togethers and barbecue for a bunch of hunting buddies.  Lots of ways to use that meat.  Congrats mystery man.  good for you.

Why would it possibly matter if he ate them all as long as they where utilized?

I may be wrong, but it sounds like the gentleman you are talking about is a fellow by the name of Warren Womack. I believe he shoots a 50's style recurve made by Acadian Woods. Just a thought.

Tony,
You are corret.  I have had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Womack and he a great guy.  I also have some of his hunting DVDs and they are great.  If I could hang out with any two bowhunters that could teach you a thing or two about hunting southern whitetails, it would be him and Jerry Simmons.  I sure hope that Mr. Womack didn't trade his Acadian Woods recurve.

Hello Doug. Thanks for confirming. I actually talked to Warren a couple of years ago and bought one of his tapes. He is a real easy spoken, down to earth Southern Gentleman.  He is quite the Whitetail Bowhunter. How have you been Doug? Things are ok here in Maryland. I am now shooting a new to me Stahl Longbow and I have been out chasing Groundgogs. Hopefully one of these days I would like to meet Warren Womack in person. Take care. Shoot Straight and Good Hunting.

Didn't Warren post on here a few years back? I'm sure I've seen some video of him.

I think there is still some video of the hog hunting that he shared with Greg (Grabwad) on the site.

You can actually kill alot more deer in GA including more bucks if you hunt all of the wma hunts.  You don't have to tag those.

I had a great uncle in NC that had over a hundred marks on a weapon of bears he had killed.
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

I cheked out The Womack Journals and there was some good video there. He really comes across just like one of the rest of us, but I'm guessing a lot more successful. Seems like a good fella with lots of stories and information to boot.
