I want to know what you prefer to shoot? Why do you prefer to shoot what you do?Do you switch from one bow to another throughout the year or stick with the old reliable? I plan to record this info and publish my numbers after 14 days time. Thank you for your opinions and look forward to reading your messages!

I prefer the recurve.
I've owned a few longbows, and I'm sure I'll get another one someday just to satify an itch. I just can't get used to the longbow grip and its totally my fault. I have shot a few LBs that had recurve grips and I like them just fine.
But, I'll stick with the recurve as my primary arrow slinger.

I have recurves, hybrid long bows and a more traditional style long bow. The recurves don't get shot anymore. I do shoot the hybrid long bows on occasion but the traditional style long bow is by far my favorite and is the bow in my hands most of the time.
I don't switch up during hunting season but I do shoot the hybrids once in awhile because I always take one of them as a backup when I camp out and hunt for a few days.
If it came down to only one it would be this style long bow. This is my Crow Creek Dalton. It feels right and I can shoot it very well.

I shoot a traditional longbow. I hung up the recurves over 20 years ago.

i don't like a low straight grip so i shoot recurve mainly.
if i get around to making a self bow it will have a recurve style high wrist grip.

Hybrid Longbows for me. Have also owned a few recurves as well but prefer the Hybrid style Longbow. Currently shooting a Fire Fly TD and waiting on a Lewis Hollow to get built.

Yep, I shot them all weekly. I might lean towards the long bow but that is only on Wednesday. Recurves are nice and I like to shoot them also, but there is nothing wrong with the challenge of a self bow for killing at close distances.
I like them all.

Long bow all rhe way I used to shoot a recurve it was nice but nothing compared to the long bow their a little more forgiving which in most cases helps the shooter.

I like to play with them all, but when it gets seriously close to hunting season I choose one and stick with it for the season. My "go-to" bow is almost always a longbow.

I love 1 piece longbows cant stand takedown dont want any metal in my bows and love the straight grip ,Nothing looks more beautiful than the lines of a 1 piece bow.Self bows are sweet just cant shoot them well.IMOP witch doesnt mean much.

I love the looks of a REAL longbow(HH style, straight grip, and D-shape) but can't shoot them worth a snot. Now the hybrids with a recurve style grip, reflex-deflex I can shoot a little better. I just hate to see a person pay good money on some beautiful woods and cover it up with a piece of leather. Thats one of the reasons I love my recurves.(not to mention i shoot them better)I like the ability to take it down for travel purposes. As well as the ability to change limbs. To each his own I guess.

First off, I love my Hills, real fun to shoot, great to hold, simple and refined.........but when I actually want to hit something I reach for my Saluki Turk. Short, quick and nasty.

Longbow. Hybrid or traditional. My GN Fireball feels like I'm shaking hands with an old friend everytime I pick it up. It has shown me the definition of happiness, wanting what I already have. On a side note my next purchase will be a recurve simply because I don't have one.

I shoot all 3 pretty often.I might hunt with two of them in the same day or shoot two classes at 3ds that allow it.I have never seen a bow I did not like so really can't break it down to one type.
I do prefer longbows over recurves for hunting deer because of the sound however.
