Morrison Mini 14 ILF
« on: July 01, 2009, 09:32:00 AM »
At the end of May I was going to be in Columbus, OH. I called Bob up and he said he would be home on saturdey. I brought with my mini 14,16" risers and longbow limbs with me. Arrived at Bobs and showed him my homemade rubber blunts. He said lets do some roving around the house. Man what a blast watching Bob shoot at weed clumbs and dandelions. Wow he's good. 50 yard shots and he's has them shaking in thier roots. I was grouping good but 3 feet in front. My Mini 14 riser didn't feel just right in my hand. Bob said take your limbs off and lets go to the shop. In short time on a spindle sander, he had it fitting like a glove. Bob gave me some coaching lessons on my form, that has made a big difference. Thanks! He told me the limbs I had on order would be started in a couple weeks. I asked if he had any cotton mouth snake skins. He did and let me pick out a pair.

Now the long wait.

Friday, Bob called and said my limbs were shipping out today. Oh the long wait. Well they arrived yesterday along with my refinised riser. Got home, grabed a string n arrow. Run out back and let one fly. Here's a couple pics:

And the first shot at 20 yards.

This bow is fast, quiet and no hand shock. Super smooth at my draw.
Specs: 53# at 28.5" 58" long.

Thanks Bob for a great bow.
Benny

I have two of Bob's risers...a mini 14 and a phenolic 16...both great shooters along with the set of "B" carbon foam limbs with copperheads on them...smooth and fast...a great guy to deal with!!
