Javelina Shootout Texas-7Th Age Bowhunting-Texas
« on: July 01, 2009, 11:45:00 AM »
I just want to remind all you Texas travelers of these currently scheduled hunts. They're booking up pretty fast so you might want to jump onboard pretty quick if Texas is a desired hunting destination. Here's a few words cut-n-pasted from another thread.

There are about 25 water holes throughout the ranch and numerous feeders running. Javelina literally walk right through camp at times. The first part of the January hunt is booked pretty solid right now. The latter part of the hunt still has openings. Remember, This isn't like hunts on smaller(less than 10,000 acres) ranches where all the animals are spooked by the first hunt leaving the second and third group without animals. This place is huge and I'll be rotating pastures(5-12,ooo acres)between hunts. No worries about pressured animals on these hunts!  Only 10 hunters on the ranch at any given time. Most hunters have affiliation to Tradgang. I suppose you could call all these hunts Tradgang hunts. Hope to see yall there. CK- [email protected]

Curtis,
Is there a group size minumum needed to book, or will you book individual hunters during these dates as well?
Thanks!
Chris

Chris, I've structured this hunt to take single hunters or groups either way. You can book three days, five days, or ten days. Whatever works for you. You can book early, middle, or late in each scheduled 10 day period. Cool, hu! If a group of five hunters arrive together and want a private hunt I'll section off a pasture(5-7000) acres. I also have two other ranches adjacent to this ranch. We'll simply be sharing one camp spot. It's kinda a festive atmosphere in the evenings around the fire. Emails have been returned this morning.

I'm leaving for a numerous days and I'll be back to answer any other questions. Thanks! CK

That sound great Curtis.  I am going to see if I can talk a buddy or two into making the trip with me, if not I may just book for myself.  I'll shoot you and e-mail when I get it figured out.  Is it trad only and are meals included or just a cooking area?
Thanks!

It's a heck of a ranch. If there are any openings still available, snatch them up.

I wanted to clarify that all hunts book from noon on your arriving day till noon on your departing day. This gives you time to set up your camp, scout the ranch, and hunt the first evening. You can then get up and hunt the morning hunt on the day of your departure before you head off to the taxidermist. Sorry if this has led to any confusion.   :knothead:
