read a good book on hunting feeling/emotion
« on: July 02, 2009, 09:10:00 PM »
It's called The Hunter's Heart. The book covers the emotions of both the need to preserve and the need to hunt. The guy was able to put into words something that I have always struggled with.

Question: Why hunt if you can just buy it at the store?

Answer: Because it brings out the nature and wild inside of you. It allows the hunter to connect and bridge the gap to become a predator again. We are all carnivorous by nature even if it comess from the store. So why not reconnect with what we truly are at heart? Why not be a hunter?

We should never apologize for hunting, not if we are ethical and respectful.

I was so glad to see it in print.

Just some thoughts I wanted to share,
-Charlie
