Acs cx shooters
« on: July 03, 2009, 11:48:00 PM »
Hi all, I was just wondering what everyone was shooting for a brace height on their bow. I shoot 7 1/2 inches from string to deepest point of the grip. I forgot what the recommended brace height is. If you have any other insights into how you shoot your ACS, let's hear them. Thanks, Gary

I shoot several 66" A&H bows and the brace height that suits me best is 7 5/8".. You're right there !

I shoot the low wrists, and I'm at a scant 7 1/8 inches on my 64-inch bows.

I shoot 2 62" 3pc ACS's and 1 64" 1pc bow. My son shoots a 62" 3pc. We find braced at just a touch over 7" is optimum for speed and silence. Longer bows will want a higher brace as indicated by Pat.

62" 3-piece, mine shoots best @ 6 3/4"
It's a high-wrist model, 14" riser

Mine seems to like 6 3/4. 14" standard, 64" limbs.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't even tried under 7 1/4 inches. I think I'm going to try some more changes in brace height. By the way, my bow is 64" with the 14"riser. Gary

YD, that's cool, the first step is to admit there's a problem.....      :wavey:
